In short, there are buoys in front of Marina Piccolo, in Capri. I tried to find information about how much it costs, how to book, I only found a restaurant that is located on them for free. Last time I remember exactly, the guys on the rib drove up and offered to stand there for 130 euros. Why buoys? Because a restaurant for 16 people is booked to celebrate a birthday party. If you are anchored – then it is far to get there by dinghy, and the wind blows. So, it is safer to anchor. Another thing is, they say in Italy there is a law prohibiting leaving a yacht at anchor without people, otherwise an owner can be arrested or fined.
We came up and saw the guys on the rib spinning. We ask them: how much it costs?
– 150 euros.
– Unbelievable… Then bring us to the shore and take us back at 11 pm.
– No, we’re finishing our work.
– OK, at least we’ll get up on the buoy.
It took them a long time to tie the rope ends to the buoy.
– When the money is due?
– Tomorrow. You have to leave before 10 am and if anyone asks – you haven’t seen us.
Yes, indeed!!! Once we found ourselves in such a situation, I tried to bargain, but the guys were unshakable – either 150, or stay without a buoy)).
When asked if it was possible to leave the dinghy in Marina Piccolo, they said-no problem. Although I knew, it was not so simple)).
We transported everyone on two dinghies, one of them was left on the yacht, while the second one could me moored. During the first trip, we met a guy that we knew – last time, he laid the red carpet, but this time he did not have it. However, he asked us if we needed services to park our dinghy – apparently, counting on a tip. We replied that we could handle it ourselves.
We tied a dinghy to the right of the pier, where another dinghy was already tied. The exit to the shore was very convenient there. The guy waved his hands and warned us not to leave the dinghy there as we could only be allowed to tie it to the left of the pier, where there was an almost vertical rock that one needed to climb. There was also a sign saying that it was forbidden to moor dinghies in that place. We pointed out the warning on the sign, but the guy explained that it operated from 09:00 to 19:00, and so it was the only place where one could moor his dinghy))).
That is a damn Italy, but I still love it very much!)))
